Upcoming Training Opportunities
MHIDD Course for Care Coordinators and Case Managers
Course Begins on Monday September 14th, 2020

There is still time to register for the new 6-week online training course (via Zoom) designed for care coordinators and case managers who support individuals with IDD and mental health needs. This course will be facilitated by Dr. Joan B. Beasley, Director of the Center for START Services and author of the START model. Dr. Beasley will demonstrate how the information provided can be applied to improve care coordinators/case managers’ ability to identify service and support needs and monitor outcomes for individuals with IDD and their families. Guest speakers will include people and family members with lived experiences as well as experts in the field. Visit our website for additional information.
 
Who should register?
  • Managed Care Organization (MCO) Care Coordinators
  • Case managers/Service coordinators
  • Case management/service coordination supervisors & directors
  • Program managers & training managers/coordinators
  • Intake & intervention support specialists
The MHIDD Course for Care Coordinators & Case Managers will begin September 14, 2020. Each session is 75 minutes long and will take place on Mondays from 1:00-2:15pm EST/10:00am-11:15am PT (no session on Monday September 28th). The course also includes weekly office hours for group consultation and discussion. . Participants who attend all 6 sessions of this course will receive a Center for START Services Certificate of Completion and 0.75 CEUs from the University of New Hampshire

MHIDD Course for Mobile Crisis Responders
Next Course Begins on Tuesday October 6th

Registration is also still open for the MHIDD training course for Mobile Crisis Responders. This course spans 6 sessions and provides an overview of mental health diagnoses in people with IDD, assessment considerations, crisis response, and recommendation/disposition planning.

Who should register?

  • Mobile Crisis Responders, Clinicians & Supervisors
  • Mental Health and/or IDD Case Managers /Service Coordinators
  • Emergency Services Clinicians
Registration fee is $149 per person. The next training course begins on October 6th. Session dates are available on our website.

Participants who attend all 6 sessions of this course will receive a Center for START Services Certificate of Completion for MHIDD Mobile Crisis Response Training and 0.75 CEUs from the University of New Hampshire (CEUs are available for individual sessions).
