Today we join bookstores across the country to celebrate what makes independent bookstores special! We're keeping the party virtual this year. Check out some exclusive merchandise, available online-only starting today, and sold only at participating indie bookstores. Quantities are very limited! And we're collecting your love notes to bookstores today on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook (or just reply to this email and TELL US WHY YOU LOVE YOUR BOOKSTORE!).
And don't forget to shop with us in-store and online this weekend for tax exempt purchases, for Massachusetts' Tax Holiday Weekend. Please note our updated store hours! We're open Tuesday–Sunday, 11AM to 6PM (closed on Mondays).
Gosh this has been a difficult spring and summer, but we're so grateful for your continued support.

For Indie Bookstore Day 2020, we've released a special new Harvard Book Store reading journal printed on Paige, our in-store book-printing machine. We’ve got reading logs for readers of all stripes—cat people AND dog people.
Our sunshine-y new t-shirt and tote bag design is only available for a few more days. Available in a variety of colors and styles (fitted t-shirts! baseball t-shirts! summery tank tops!), this fundraising campaign supports the future of Harvard Book Store. And if you missed out on our popular "Up Late with Harvard Book Store" t-shirt this spring, we've brought it back for one more print run! Thanks for supporting Harvard Book Store and our staff by purchasing this limited-edition merch! These campaigns end Monday, August 31 at midnight.
