COVID-19 Information for Agricultural Workers

Employment Training Panel Focused on Providing Training Funds to Employers During Pandemic 
The State of California’s Employment Training Panel (ETP) announced that it approved 24 contracts worth over $6 million in job training funds for 6,000 workers. Read more here.
California Secures $4.5 Billion for Lost Wages Assistance Program
California has federal approval for an initial $4.5 billion in funding for the federal Lost Wages Assistance (LWA) program, which will provide eligible claimants with a supplemental payment of $300 per week for a minimum of three weeks.  Read more here.
Governor Newsom Unveils Blueprint for a Safer Economy
Governor Gavin Newsom unveiled the Blueprint for a Safer Economy, a statewide, stringent and slow plan for living with COVID-19 for the long haul. The plan imposes risk-based criteria on tightening and loosening COVID-19 allowable activities and expands the length of time between changes to assess how any movement affects the trajectory of the disease. $71 Billion of Unemployment Insurance Benefits Issued to Impacted Workers
August 27, 2020

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect employment statewide, impacted workers and employers are receiving vital benefit support from California Employment Development Department (EDD), which disbursed over $71.4 billion in benefit payments since March. Read more here.
