Inclusion in the time of Covid

How have you survived the strange plague times of loss, social distancing and lockdown?
 
Many of us have reflected on the meaning of life, relationship and community. Maslow’s Pyramid of psychological needs has taken a hammering at every level. Continuing to stand apart and to cover faces to keep others safe… this is so hard when we want the world to be more inclusive and yet it perhaps makes us remember the value of love and friendship.
 
Here at Inclusive Solutions, we have never been busier. Although face to face training had to be cancelled we embarked on a series of free/donation only webinars. We featured training on mental health, autism and inclusion. We created a brand new Inclusive Solutions School where much of our training has been recreated as self-study online courses with video, interaction and rich text. We can offer whole teams access with amazing discounts or individuals can subscribe to all our courses or zoom in on chosen areas.
 
We worked extensively and remotely with staff from Jersey schools on building strength and resilience with improved understanding of anxiety, trauma and stress.
 
We have been pleased to offer much person-centred planning training with Educational Psychologist and SEN teams since lock-down and there has been particular interest in the use of MAP with staff teams returning to schools in the autumn.
