Sunday Service

We will be gathering together again in person each Sunday morning from Sunday 30th August. Whilst we look forward to seeing you all again it is with some caution that we proceed. The pandemic has not gone away and you are advised to remain worshipping with us from home if at all possible where you find yourself in a vulnerable category. There is no pressure to return and of course no obligation. You must do what is right for you. Our notices and sermon will go out live on facebook each week.

Please read the following very carefully. Before we can open we have had to complete risk assessments and submit them to be approved by our National Leadership Team and of course they have to comply with Welsh Government Guidelines. We must be stringent about carrying out the procedures that we have committed to.

Social Distancing – We must maintain and observe a 2 metre distance both in the car park and in the hall. To allow for this we have created a one way system which we have marked out on the floor. Entry will be by the main door and exit will be by the fire exit next to the stage. We will not be allowed to hug, kiss or shake hands for the moment.

Masks or face coverings MUST be worn on entry and throughout the service (unless you have a pre-existing medical condition preventing you from wearing one). Please bring your own mask wherever possible. If you forget one, we will have a limited supply at the front door.

The steward at the door will take your temperature remotely. If you have a high temperature you will be asked to return home immediately. Please note that no offence is intended. These measures are in place to protect everyone.

Please DO NOT attend if you feel at all unwell or have any symptoms such as a high temperature, a new persistent cough, a loss of taste or smell.

You will be required to sanitise your hands on entry and exit. If you are wearing gloves you must sanitise your gloves.

Seating will be allocated so a steward will show you to your seat and advise you on the one-way system. Please stay in your allocated area during the service.

Toilets are available and we will provide antibacterial spray and disposable roll for you to use before and after using the facilities. Please use the bins provided rather than flushing the cleaning roll as it will clog the plumbing.

At this moment, congregational singing is not allowed. This may be seen as one of the hardest things to adhere to during this period but we must not limit God and his presence. A short time of worship will be led by one person on the stage and clapping, raising hands, kneeling and dancing are still allowed and to be encouraged.

We want to thank you for your continued support and your personal worship to the Lord through your tithes and offerings. Whilst we encourage you to continue giving online we will make one receptacle available on the stage on your way out if you wish to give on the day.

Communion will be held every second week and we encourage you to bring your own communion elements as we are unable to prepare and hand out bread and juice.

We are unable to offer refreshments at this time and so please bring a bottle of water with you if required. We will have a limited number of bottled waters available if needed.

As a record of attendance must be kept we will have an online booking system in place. If you do not have access to the internet you can text/whatsapp Jackie to make your booking on 07972308304. Please note that as spaces are limited it will be on a first come, first served basis. Please make every effort to honour your booking as spaces are limited. You must give the names of everyone you are booking for. Fresh bookings must be made each week. If there is demand we will offer a second service. Our first service will start promptly at 10am and finish by 11am. We ask that you exit fairly quickly so we have time to clean before the next service which will begin at 11.30. It is vitally important that you arrive on time. The booking link will be available on facebook, the whatsapp group and on the website. Make sure you are booking for the service you want to attend at your preferred time.

There will be no Kid’s Church for a while but we will let you know when it is allowed to begin again. Children must sit with their parents/guardians at all times during the service and must not be left unattended.

There will be opportunities to serve on a rota basis as opening up the church comes with many extra duties. Please contact Jackie if you are able to help in any way. We need stewards, computer person, cleaning and sanitising help.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
