September Clean appeal to Dales communities
Derbyshire Dales District Council has pledged its support for this year’s Great British September Clean, run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.  The campaign, which was postponed in early spring due to Covid-19, will run from 11-27 September 2020. It will encourage the great British public to take part in small, socially distanced clean-ups to remove litter from streets, parks and beaches across the country.

Applications invited for historic Matlock grant
Worthy causes in the Matlock area are being invited to apply to Derbyshire Dales District Council for funds from the historic Ernest Bailey Charity. The District Council is Trustee of the charity, which makes an annual grant from interest on a fund set up by local benefactor Ernest H. Bailey.

Have your say on a new political map for Derbyshire Dales District Council
A new pattern of wards is being developed for Derbyshire Dales District Council.  The Local Government Boundary Commission has decided that the number of councillors in Derbyshire Dales District Council should be 34. This is a change from the current council which has 39 councillors. The Commission wants to hear what residents and organisations think about their local area. A ten week consultation on the proposals will run until 02 November 2020.
