The Ferdinand Effect

Sermon by Rev David Messner with music by Becca Darling

So they had to take Ferdinand home. And for all we know he is sitting there still, under his favorite cork tree, smelling the flowers just quietly. He is very happy.

Join us online as Rev. David Messner shares an inspiring message inspired by this classic children’s book.

Being UU at Home Session 8

This week's Being UU at Home Lesson:

"Saying Your Prayers (even when you’re not sure who’s listening)"

If you have wondered about how to pray as a Unitarian Universalist, you are not alone. This week's lesson will discuss the benefits of prayer and meditation and suggest ways that you can incorporate prayer into your life and the lives of your children, regardless of what you believe.

Visit http://GUUFRE.org/being-UU-at-home to find this week's lesson, which will become available on Sunday morning. In the meantime, you can access previous weeks' lessons and see image galleries of the chalices, 7 Principles creations, home altars, household covenants, and more that people have shared from previous lessons.

It's not too late to try out previous lessons and send in your work for us to share! Please send pictures and stories to youthdirector@greenvilleuu.org so we can share them on our website.

Being UU at Home is a new program for everyone who wants to find ways to express their UU faith with family and partners in the context of daily life.  This series offers engaging suggestions, activities, thoughts, stories, and opportunities for individuals, families, or partners to make Unitarian Universalism a part of your daily life at home. Each week this summer, we will add a new lesson.
