In this update you'll find a couple of brief videos containing various self care tips.
The first vid includes outtakes from two very different classes.
- A class for back & hip self care I ran at an online global yoga event.
- An online class for neck & shoulder issues, while out of Sydney for a few days. There's nothing like calling in while standing next to a river!
In these snippets there's something for tense/sore shoulders, and sciatica/sacroiliac pain i.e. a pain in the butt!
The second vid offers quick tips for neck pain and headaches.

Pop in for a treatment. Clinic is open on reduced hours - providing time to ventilate the room & clean surfaces etc.
The Healing Switch is a Covid safe business.
Or... a self care class.
Both are about finding enjoyable ways to feel better in our bodies & accessing the bodies natural ability to self correct.

The main focus this month is neck, shoulders & jaw.
Back & hips get a little attention as well.
Classes are drop in however consistency reaps benefits. You're encouraged to attend regularly to experience the benefits.
The classes include gentle movements, self massage & simple positions based on Osteopathic principles, yoga therapy, Qi Gong & contemporary dance.
They're gentle, safe (fun!)
- designed to reduce tension & pain, soothe & 're-set' frayed nervous systems,
- bring you in touch with your body
- provide practical, effective self care for niggling injuries, tension and stress.
All movements are explained clearly - watching the screen is optional. This is a work around to address the zoom universe a lot of us are now inhabiting. Ahhh, deep sigh, long easy exhale.....
Classes are designed to be accessible to as many people as possible. You don't need to be bendy & flexible.
One of the themes is learning how we can tune into our bodies and adjust movements & positions so they work best for us.
During this process, we learn about, and practice applying some of the principles & techniques of Ortho-Bionomy i.e. what you experience on the table during a treatment!
Everything covered in the classes can be used during daily life for pain relief, maintenance and catching niggles before they become well worn patterns.
