Welcome to our September newsletter!

Welcome to our September Newsletter! I hope you are all well and safe. This month we are saying a huge thank you to all of you for helping us help young people in Bristol and South Gloucester. We have now published our Impact Report 2019-202 showcasing all the fantastic work of our staff, young people and partners so please take a moment to check it out, read the stats but also find out about some of our future plans. We couldn't have done this without you, thank you so much.

I would also like to point you towards our updated "Support Us" area of our website, which we’ve developed in the last few weeks. Check it out for more information, templates and an updated Fundraising Pack too.

Fundraising events this autumn

As we slowly approach autumn months, we are also following updates on the leading fundraising events across the country. We have now received updated about the top running events so check out the following links:

If you have a favourite local run or event, please check their news sections for most relevant updates. Please remember to stay safe and sensible when considering to participate in fundraising events. We appreciate all your continuous support. However, your wellbeing is our priority at the moment.

Thank you for your continuous support and for helping us help young people's mental health.

Stay safe. Stay well. Stay connected.

Please note: if you made a donation to us via JustGiving and indicated that you would like to stay in touch, this monthly newsletter is our way of informing you about OTR Bristol activities and fundraising campaigns. However, if you would rather not receive these newsletters and would prefer to read updates in the browser, please save this link and unsubscribe.

...the fantastic Yoga Dad who chose to support us this summer. Go to his YouTube channel for free yoga sessions and to find out more about his campaign. Thank you, Rob!
This month we are sharing the results of our young people’s survey. We asked young people what they thought about every aspect of their OTR experience and they provided some amazing insights and feedback. It's essential for us to stay responsive so please check out a write-up on the feedback we have received from our young people here. As our next step, we have also introduced a feedback section to our website here
This month I would like to take up the OTR staff slot and share a note about our work in the background in the fundraising and marketing team. We are working in quite a fast-changing reality, so we are spending more time these days connecting with industry leaders and learning from their insights. We are members of the Fundraising Regulator and the Institute of Fundraising, so we receive direct updates from them. We read industry reports on giving in times of COVID-19 (like this one for instance). We also follow the leading giving platforms and relevant events so this month, I would like to highlight the first BAME Fundraising Conference 2020, which happened online recently and is still available on demand. If you know of similar resources that we should be aware of, please do let us know!
We would like to say a huge thank you to Free Range Web who helped us put together our new Impact Report website, an annual review of our work, achievements, stats and challenges in 2019-20. You can read it here online to find out more about the work you have helped to make happen in the previous financial year.
Check out our online shopping list, which has now moved to Amazon to make it easier for you to use. If you would like to provide OTR with any of these items, feel free to make a purchase or get in touch with me at sylwia@otrbristol.org.uk if you would like more info first.

You can now also donate via Smile Amazon app on Android devices.
