Without people like you putting your hands up to volunteer, our community would be such a different place in which to live.
We wanted to let you know that we have recently updated our website to reflect our re-brand to Volunteer South and also have a fabulous new online connections programme to make finding roles even easier. You can search by town, category or the time you have available - or all three. So head on over and take a look.
When you're looking at a role description use to the back arrow on your brower bar to go back to your search or click 'all roles' to take you back to the start and to view all roles.
The new system allows you to sign up roles and requires much less info that our previous system, so it's quicker and easier for you to connect with organisations in your local community. Once you sign up an email will be sent to you and the organisation with each others contact details - then it's over to you to catch up and chat in more detail about what's involved and to see if it's a good match.
You can also let us know how you're getting on - if you've connected with the organisation, if you're started volunteering and even give us feedback on the role. We really encourage you to give us feedback on your experience and are always happy to meet up or have a phone call if you want some more info about a particular role.
In between newsletters we keep the The Wanaka App, The Central App and The Queenstown App up to date with new roles in their community/jobs section. Keep an eye our in The News also where we have a column sponsored by the fabulous Affleck O'Meara Accounting Superheroes, and join our Facebook Group for role reminders https://www.facebook.com/VolunteerSouthCentralLakes.
