IEI's Global Center Receives $40 Million Federal Award to Improve Global Education Outcomes

The Institute for Educational Initiatives (IEI) and its Global Center for the Development of the Whole Child — together with Notre Dame's Pulte Institute for Global Development — has won a $40 million cooperative agreement to lead a five-year program to advance U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) learning priorities in the global education sector. This award is one of the largest federal grants Notre Dame has ever received.

Parent Engagement and Support During COVID-19 Study
Lead Researcher: Dr. Julie Dallavis, University of Notre Dame

Parent engagement in school plays an important role in student success, and the COVID-19 pandemic has caused teachers and parents to collaborate more to support remote and hybrid forms of learning in the home.

A new study conducted by the University of Notre Dame, ACE, and the National Catholic Educational Association seeks to better understand parent perceptions and experiences with home-based learning during the pandemic, as well as how they made decisions about the educational choices for their children in the 2020-21 academic year.

If you are a parent or caregiver of at least one child in a PreK-12 Catholic school and you would like to participate in the study, please follow the link to our survey below. No identifying information will be collected.
