Highways.Today Newsletter

27 August 2020

Welcome to another Highways.Today newsletter!

The highlights of my week have been telephone calls and Zoom sessions discussing all things BIM, Digital Twins, Lidar and scanning pavements and structures.

GeoSLAM have released a handheld 3D laser scanner that allows you to scan buildings and structures in minutes and Xenomatix were excited to present their XenoTrack Lidar bar, which can be mounted on top of a standard vehicle to digitise the road ahead using their 6D road scanning technology to identify road waviness, road damage, small and nearly invisible objects, all in real-time, or post-processing.

You can download a sample dataset from XenomatiX here.

Thanks again and stay safe.
