Pop-up Book Sale

Saturday, September 5
9:00 AM-1:00 PM
at the Farmer's Market Parking Lot

Great selection of adult fiction, mysteries, non-fiction and kid's books! All proceeds support your local library. 

 

If you still have library books from before we closed, we would appreciate their return as soon as possible! Both outdoors drop box are available 24/7.
 

We are extending Pop-up Story Time as long as the weather will allow! Please note the September dates & locations. Sept. 24 & 25 will also be outside the library.

Need help figuring out the basics of your iPhone or iPad? Gluu Essentials is a training program designed to help seniors with their devices. The online classes begin September 22 and are completely free! Click here to sign up with an email address


Chat with other book lovers in the Kootenay region and meet the local author! Sarah Louise Butler is from Nelson and this is her first novel. Read Local is new monthly book club with a new Kootenay based author each month! 
 
Free Ancestry Access from Home!



With this time at home, why not discover more about your family history and genealogy?

Curbside Book Pickup! 

Even though our doors are open, we will be continuing with curbside pickup for the foreseeable future. If you'd prefer contactless pick up, simply call or email and we will place your books outside on the book cart by the front door.

Talk books with other teens across the Kootenays and meet the authors in this online book club! The first half we will have a discussion about the book, and in the second half we will have the author come talk to us!  We can ask them all your questions, find out what inspired the book and discover what they are reading!

Printing and Fax services available

While we are now allowing computer use, if you just need to print, please email us the documents and we will print for you to help limit contact as much as possible. We are also happy to scan, photocopy and fax documents for you.

Tumblebooks is another e-book database and they have extended free access to all libraries and patrons during this time. There are a TON of great kids books on here from picture books to YA novels. There is also a wide audiobook and romance selection for adult readers!
