Staff Profile:
Alicia Quiroz

Position: Administrative Assistance of the McKinney Public Libraries

Years Worked at the Library: I will be celebrating 4 years in September.

Where you worked before: I worked for Collin County WIC for 15 years.

eBooks, Paperback, or Hardback: Hardback! They are durable and I care for my books. I absolutely love the smell of books. I know I am weird!

Book Recommendation: Me Before You, by Jojo Moyes. I felt every emotion while getting lost in this book. It’s a great love story between two completely different characters who help one another overcome many obstacles they each face. I laughed and cried my way through the entire book.

Movie Recommendation: There are so many but my favorite is Legend, a 1985 film. What I enjoyed most was Tim Curry playing Darkness on his mission to create eternal darkness by destroying the last of the unicorns. There are fairies, dwarfs, glitz, glamour, magic, swamps, evil and love. It’s a great movie!
