Dear <<First Name>>,
This is what's happening remotely at HopeSpring this week.
As we launch our Fall Programs, here is an update on our programs:

As the world continues to evolve as a result of COVID-19, HopeSpring Cancer Support Center has made the decision to continue programming remotely for the foreseeable future. The health, welfare and safety of our members and those on the cancer journey are of the utmost importance to us. We believe this is the safest and best decision to make at this time. We will continue to reassess as time moves forward.

For up-to-date resources and support services please visit www.hopespring.ca.

Fall 2020 programs are now live!
Here's what's changed:
  • Yoga for Cancer Recovery has moved to Wednesday evenings with Tammy.
  • Some programs have shifted times slightly.
  • Once you register online for a program session, Zoom will automatically email you the session link. If you're not comfortable registering online, please give us a call at 519-742-4673 or email volunteer@hopespring.ca and we can assist you.
  • We are trying out using Zoom for registrations. If you need support using Zoom, please view this Zoom Support Video. You can also reach out to volunteer@hopespring.ca or marketing@hopespring.ca for support.
  • If you've never used Zoom, they will ask you to download the Zoom app first. The app will ask you to access your camera and microphone.
  • At this time, our program schedule is available online only.
  • Some of our programs are not available in a remote setting. We are keeping on eye on COVID-19 and best practices to reassess our program offerings in the future.

The top charities in each category that receive the most votes will be awarded $2,000. Your vote could mean the difference between second place and first place. Voting takes 30 seconds and it is really easy to do.
You can vote each week. This content closes September 30, 2020.

A great article about a program that matches cancer patients with artists:
Experiences With Cancer, Captured in Works of Art via the New York Times
As Covid-19 heightens the anxieties of cancer patients, online support groups step up efforts to help by means of social networking. One such group, Twist Out Cancer, sponsors an innovative program called Brushes With Cancer that matches patients with artists who create a unique piece of artwork to capture the experience of their disease.
