CPF CME Virtual Education
"Returning to Sports Post-COVID Infection" Thursday, Sept 10 - 6 PM
Dr. English Flack of VUMC Pediatric Cardiology and Dr. Ashley Karpinos of VUMC Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Sports Medicine, will be leading a webinar presentation on Thursday, Sept, 10 at 6 PM, discussing new screening recommendations for athletes before returning to sports post-COVID infection. 

The presentation is approved for CME and MOC Part 2 credit for live attendees.

"Pediatric Thyroids and Head & Neck Masses: Recent Advances and Current Treatment Strategies" 
Thursday, Sept 24 - 6 PM
Dr. Ryan Belcher of VUMC Pediatric Otolaryngology will be leading a webinar presentation discussing recent advances and current treatment strategies related to pediatric thyroids and head and neck masses, including management in primary care and preventive care.

CPF Board Election - Call for Nominees! 
2 Community-Based Seats Open


CPF is currently accepting nominations for (2) Community-based pediatricians to join its Board of Directors. 

The CPF Board has 8 voting members - (4) Community-based pediatricians, and (4) Vanderbilt-based representatives. This year, there are (2) Community-based seats open, as current CPF Board members Dr. Mike Ladd of Green Hills Pediatric Associates and outgoing President Dr. Deepak Mehrotra of Children's Clinic East are finishing their terms. 

CPF Board term lengths are 3-years, during which members are asked to help guide the Foundation in its overall direction and programming. CPF Board members are elected through a majority vote of the membership, which will be conducted via RedCap survey once nominees are submitted.

CPF is offering a FREE PALS Course through VUMC on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. The class is still currently planned to be held with social distancing measures and masks required.
