MC listed among U.S. News & World Report's 2021 'Best Colleges'Anderson Hall in the Fall

Maryville College has been listed in U.S. News & World Report’s “2021 Best Colleges” guidebook, ranking third overall in the “Best Regional Colleges – South” category.

Maryville College also was ranked in several sub-categories of Southern colleges, including No. 1 in “Best Colleges for Veterans,” No. 2 in “Best Undergraduate Teaching,” No. 7 in “Best Value Schools,” and No. 20 in “Top Performers on Social Mobility.” Read the press release!

$1.3 Million Grant

MC has received a $1.3 million Student Support Services (SSS) grant from the U.S. Department of Education that will provide academic and other support services to first-generation college students, students with high financial need and students with documented disabilities.

MC Professor of Art Dr. Carl Gombert is among the artists featured in “The Red Clay Survey: 2020 Exhibition of Contemporary Southern Art,” a major recurring regional competition sponsored by the Huntsville Museum of Art in Alabama.

Enhancing Global Competencies

Maryville College recently received a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language (UISFL) program to enhance global competencies across the curriculum.

Teacher Resource

A group of MC education faculty and alumni, along with local educators, created a Facebook group for pre-K through 12 teachers to connect, provide support and share resources for remote learning and teaching.

New Faculty

This fall, Maryville College welcomes to its campus two assistant professors and one visiting lecturer, bringing the total number of full-time faculty members to 74. Read more about these new faculty members on the MC website!
U.S. Constitution

Constitution Day

Members of the MC and local community are invited to participate in “Constitution Day Constitutional” on Sept. 17. The Fit.Green.Happy.®-themed event, which will include a lecture and yoga/meditation activity, is part of MC’s observance of the 233rd anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.

Scots Health Telehealth Program

ScotsHealth logoWith the launch of the Scots Health telehealth program last month, Maryville College students now have access to free, around-the-clock medical and mental health care through their smartphone or other web-enabled device. Read the press release.
