Hi lovely readers!

How are things going in your part of the world? I am in Cornwall at the moment trying to keep safe. It’s extremely busy on the beach so I’m walking early in the day to avoid contact with people. I hope wherever you are, things are beginning to improve and you are safe and well.
I have been writing and illustrating like crazy!
Lots of my readers have asked, “Is there’s going to be a sequel to Tillie and the Golden Phantom?”
The answer is YEAH! I have just launched Tillie at Jamaica Inn.

Have you ever stayed at Jamaica Inn on the bleak Bodmin Moor? I stayed there last year when my husband was competing in the Cornwall Masters Swimming Competition. I was inspired by the Inn. It’s a lovely place for a meal or a snack when visiting Cornwall.

Jamaica Inn is no longer a temperance house. These days it is a vibrant and welcoming place. We stayed in one of the excellent rooms and I emailed to say thank you for a wonderful visit. When Allen Jackson, the owner, personally replied, I approached him with the idea of writing a story based at Jamaica Inn. He enthusiastically agreed as he is so compassionate about the other author who had the same idea way back in 1936! Yes, of course, I am talking about Daphne Du Maurier.

The Daphne Du Maurier Museum is a wonderful tribute to the greatly talented lady. Allen was busy purchasing some of her original pieces of furniture and possessions when I visited last year so I must return for another visit soon. He has also accomplished a great project of developing the Smugglers’ Museum. There really is a stinky pirate, just like the one in my book!
