Native Art August Finale

This is the finale of our "Native Art Week"...which has kinda been almost a month!  It has been an amazing month. Thanks to everyone for their support of our gallery artists.  September will include our showing with LuAnn Tafoya & Daryl Whitegeese.  They had firing issues and we didn't want them to rush.  I'll let you know the date when we have it set!

Sign up to Follow Your Favorite Artists Online!

Don't forget to sign up to get a notice when your favorite artist has new work in the gallery.  We have a subscription link on many of your favorite artist pages that will allow you to receive an email each time there is something new online.  The email has a photo and a full description of the original work, with a direct link to check it out on the website.  And don't worry about too much email, you can unsubscribe anytime just by clicking a link.  Click here to subscribe to the individual artist updates!  Also let us know if your favorite artist isn't listed, we can add them in!

Thank you!

"THANK YOU" to everyone for their support over the past few months.  It's not just the sales but also the notes and calls of support and encouragement are always appreciated!

Please continue to Stay Healthy, and let's hope that in 2021 I will get to see each of you in Scottsdale or Santa Fe!  In the meantime, we will continue to buy new work from gallery artists and keep this dynamic artistry active and vibrant.  Thank you for helping us to continue our mission in trying times.
I look forward to hearing from you with any questions or suggestions.

Today's Events...
Today is our first Webinar!  It will be LIVE on zoom Saturday, August 29 from 4-5pm.
Russell Sanchez;  San Ildefonso: Tradition Means Moving Forward
A discussion of historic San Ildefonso pottery and his recent works in clay.
Click HERE to attend the Webinar at 4pm (MST) time!
Russell Sanchez has created a series of new pieces, each deriving inspiration from historic San Ildefonso pottery.  Whether black, gunmetal, red, or polychrome, the pieces are distinctive in form and design.  Most recently, Russell won "Best of Pottery" at the 2019 Santa Fe Indian Market and the 2020 Heard Indian Market. A rare achievement but a reflection of his creativity and consistent quality.
While Nancy Youngblood is known for her melon swirl pottery, she created a new series of Thunderbird jars in red, tan, and black.  The creative carving and use of both male and female figures on each piece is unique and creative.
Check out the recent work by Susan Folwell as part of her "Taos Light" series.  They are a creative combination of shapes and forms inspired by the Taos Society of Artists.

"Forward-thinking gallerists, museum curators, and clay artists themselves are fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Native clay arts. At the forefront is Charles S. King. Owner of King Galleries in Santa Fe and Scottsdale, Arizona.  He is considered by many to be the dean of contemporary Southwestern Native clay arts."
