A New Perspective

It’s the halfway mark! 2020 is indeed zooming along, and before you know it, spring will arrive, and we’ll be in the downhill run to Christmas. I’m sure the year, and its challenges, has taught us all lots of important lessons, but by far one of the more pertinent for me has been the ability to look at things in a new light. Whether it’s finding a solution amid mounting difficulties, or changing our perspective, the year has forced us to re-evaluate a lot of norms and adapt quickly to new practices.

I have always enjoyed the challenge of finding the best equipment options for our customers – solutions that are tailored to each individual, to provide the right mix of support and ability to engage with the environment. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing children participate in new experiences or activities thanks to these pieces of equipment – whether it is sitting with the family for dinner, playing games on the floor, exploring outdoors or squishing slime in the backyard.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any enquiries.

Kind regards,
Simone Fejer

Welcome Jane!

Jane Ansaar has recently joined our team and we're thrilled to have her on board.

Jane is a dedicated, responsible, caring and motivated physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience working in Paediatrics, both in the hospital and community settings. Throughout her extensive experience, she has worked with many families, helping children with a broad range of neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions.

She is passionate about working with families to find solutions which enable children to achieve their best and participate in family and community-based activities. Jane is looking forward to learning about each child’s abilities and strengths, and using her skills and experience to recommend suitable specialised assistive technology devices to promote maximal function and comfort.

Jane prioritises building sound working relationships with families and other professionals based on respect and integrity. She is extremely excited to join PAL and looks forward to being a positive team member.

Spotlight on: Poz'In'Form

We are excited to have the new Poz’In’Form cushions available for trial. These specialised cushions are manufactured by Care Concept to support safe and restful sleep. The Poz'In'Form system reinforces proper postural positioning, providing even weight distribution and preventing pressure sores. The cushions are available in a variety of shapes and sizes to allow a wide range of positioning possibilities.

Poz’In’Form elements and modules are entirely removable and washable. Two cover options are available: Pharmatex or Lenzing FR.

The Pharmatex bi-elastic cover is made of polyurethane and is recommended for use in hospitals. Pharmatex is soft to the touch and very comfortable next to the skin, while still easy to clean.

The Lenzing FR cover is made of viscose, coated with a waterproof polyurethane film and prevents maceration. Hygroscopic properties of viscose allow moisture absorption. The elasticity and flexibility of Lenzing FR address problems regularly observed in classical positioning.
