Invite Fortnight Begins!
The Youth Group “Invite Fortnight” kicks off this Friday. While we always encourage our teens to share the Gospel with their friends and to invite them to Youth Group, our Invite Fortnight, is two weeks where we go all out to make it as easy as possible.

We redecorate the church, reorganise the night, and redouble our efforts to make newcomers feel welcome. We have short, clear Gospel messages and work extra hard at following up those who come.
Last Friday, we had a ‘dress rehearsal’, to make sure everything worked and show the teens what they were inviting their friends to. A big thanks to all of the Unichurchers who came, and are coming to help out in the background, so that our regular leaders can spend all of their time focused on the teenagers.

Last year was a big success, so please pray that the teens have courage to invite their friends, that their friends do come; pray for Lindsay Rhodes and Ed Surrey as they give the Gospel talks (on the 21st and 28th respectively); pray that in God’s kindness His Spirit moves among those there, bringing them into the kingdom of His Son; and pray that we can be effective in following up.
Learning to live with Coronavirus
Serving Survey this Sunday

Last week, I spoke in church about the need to learn to live with Coronavirus, and move forward in mission and ministry even in these circumstances. This week, our government further delayed the easing of restrictions until October 25 at the earliest. So we are on the right track!

There has been lots of great discussions and emails that I have received. It’s been really encouraging to hear people’s ideas for how we can keep making disciples. Please keep them coming.

One thing we do really want to do is rebuild some of our ministry teams. This Sunday, we are going to do a quick survey during the services because I really want to hear from you what sort of ministry team you would like to be a part of.

There are needs and opportunities for the gospel that God has put before us and I feel deeply that now is the time for us make the most of them.

My prayer is that many of you will join me.
