New call management system for EVC
Starting this month, customers calling the Eurovision Control Room (EVC) will be asked to input the synopsis reference number for the transmission they are calling about. Eurovision Services renews and upgrades transatlantic link for Portugal's RTP
Eurovision Services has renewed its agreement with RTP for the next three years and upgraded to an 11 Mbps permanent HD video circuit from the RTP Correspondents Office in Washington, D.C. to RTP headquarters in Lisbon. The permanent circuit offers dedicated and guaranteed bandwidth on the fully-secured Eurovision global fibre network via at least two paths between the two endpoints. Permanent circuits are part of Eurovision Services core business and are the most secure and cost-effective way to link points of presence such as foreign news bureaus with their head offices. Eurovision Services has 250 points of presence on its Eurovision Global Network that offers 24/7 availability with guaranteed bandwidth for unlimited usage, as well as satellite back-up and disaster recovery.

Sun outages - Autumn 2020
The autumn sun outage season has just started and will continue through to mid-October, depending on your location. We have secured our turn-around teleports for this period in order to guarantee smooth operation and we encourage customers to check when sun outages will occur for their reception sites and take the necessary steps if they are likely to affect any of your transmissions.

BISS-CA and its benefits for broadcasters and rights owners

Upgrade programme for ATEME decoders
We are offering an upgrade programme for customers who purchased ATEME DR5000 decoders from Eurovision Services. It includes the firmware, instructions for the upgrade and technical support, for a small fee.

Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Summer Night Concert, 18 September
Eurovision Services is coordinating the international feed of this year's Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra's Summer Night Concert with conductor Valery Gergiev and soloist Jonas Kaufmann. The concert on the theme of "Love" will include arias performed by Jules Massenet, Emmerich Kálmán and Giacomo Puccini.

Eurovision Services is the host broadcaster of the UCI Road World Championships from Imola, Italy, and will be coordinating the distribution of the international signal.
