Class RECAP:
- Began with great inspiration & sharing of recent success stories Congrats Grace on your artwork chosen for Australia author's book cover & Jackie Cudo's to you as you complete your book and new music along with painting thrown in the mix!! PLEASE always share and promote your work with us!! Congrats to Denise on your newest family addition & Heather, you have been putting out some amazing drawings on the Facebook page!! You girls ROCK!! You are ALL blowing me away with your beautiful paintings and I love your feedback and input during classes. PLEASE DON'T STOP!!! I feel fruitful as a teacher these days, despite not teaching in the studio!! You guys spur me on!!
- Bold color in the first layer, helped in scumbling color this week and unifying the feathers on these ducks.
- Getting the shadow value right, made all the difference when it came time to pop the few lights in.
- Eye placement on birds is crucial. ALWAYS measure and check as tilt of the head prevents a formula that works every time.
- Water works best with horizontal strokes and often medium on the 2nd layer.
