Updates to Using IDIS Online for the ESG Program Now Available

HUD has posted an updated version of Using IDIS Online for the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program on the HUD Exchange. The manual assumes that readers have basic knowledge of how to navigate the Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS).

ESG Program recipients use IDIS to draw program funds. This manual provides step-by-step instructions along with corresponding screenshots to assist users with routine functions, including:

  • Setting up projects, activities, and the administration subfund
  • Funding activities and drawing down funds
  • Completing activities in IDIS
  • Using MicroStrategy reports developed for ESG
  • Navigating between eCon Planning Suite and IDIS project and activity set-up processes

This update replaces all previous versions, the most recent of which was last updated in February 2018. This revised version:

  • Updates Section 6.3 to include information on funding Emergency Shelter and Street Outreach activities
  • Updates Section 8.2 with instructions on returning funds
  • Adds a new Section 9 on the HESG Deadline Compliance process
  • Adds new information on the PR91 HESG Grant Expenditure Deadline Review Dashboard and PR91 Grant Expenditure Deadline Review Grid Report
  • Incorporates 11.16 through 11.20 system release updates for IDIS
