CYO Parent Survey
Greetings parents,
YES -- We are planning to have a sports season in 2021…fingers and toes crossed!  It goes without saying, that the safety of our student-athletes comes first!  This may all change at the drop of a hat so, staying in close contact with your Coach and/or AD is the best way to be kept abreast to what is going on currently with our sports program.

What we need from each of you is the following:
  1. PARENTS – Please see the tentative sports schedule below and decide IF your child would like to participate.
  2. PARENTS – Please complete the “Interest Survey” by August 31, 2020   https://forms.gle/z3cEt36NVnR9eeEy6
  3. PARENTS – Contact your AD if you are having technical difficulties with the survey.
  4. PARENTS -- If for some reason you do NOT HAVE anyone to coach a team, please reach out to another coach and ask them to help in the interim…and contact your AD also.
We have NO idea what the fees will be UNTIL we know how many team’s we have for each sport…and how many games/matches we will be able to play. Because we will most definitely have shorter seasons -- the fees will be different than the normal seasons we have had in the past.  We understand and sympathize with everyone in knowing that the COVID-19 Pandemic has found many families struggling to make ends meet.  PLEASE, if you are facing financial difficulty at this time, reach out to your AD, we can come up with a solution so your student-athlete can still participate 😊
IF ANYONE has the means and is willing to ‘sponsor’ a student-athlete, please let your AD know…we are a VERY strong community that sticks together and has each other’s backs at all times!!
Be safe & healthy everyone 😊

Scrip News
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  As with everything else this year, Scrip has had to make a few changes to the daily operations.
We will be taking scrip orders by phone or email during school office hours, 7:30 am-4:00 pm.  I will try to get all orders out by the end of the day.  Please leave a contact number with your order and you will be notified when your order is ready for pick up.
Process for ordering Scrip -
Please call the school office at 823-4513, or send an email to scrip@sasmanteca.org.  Remember to include a contact number.  Any items we do not have in stock will automatically be put on back order unless otherwise stated by you.
Many of you are already using the online ShopWithScrip program.  This is an excellent way to earn your Scrip profit on the go!  They have just added a mobile app (RaiseRight) for your android and ios devices.  While taking advantage of the convenience of an online/app transaction, please be award that you can ONLY purchase e-cards or reload a previously purchased card.  ALL physical cards must be ordered through our Scrip office.
Reopening Plan
Thank you for completing our survey. I also want to thank those that found a couple errors and inconsistencies within the plan - many hands make light work.  Those errors have been updated on our original document and on our website. Your feedback from the survey has been forwarded to the CDPH with our Reopening Plan and Waiver Application to reopen our school. Now we wait....

Valley Air District - Health Caution in Place
Anyone experiencing poor air quality due to wildfire smoke should move indoors, to a filtered, air-conditioned environment with windows closed. The common cloth and paper masks being worn due to COVID-19 concerns will not protect individuals from wildfire smoke.  Also, please note that the District’s air monitors (RAAN) are designed to detect the microscopic PM2.5 particles that exist in smoke. Ash pieces, however, are much larger in size and will not be detected. If an area is impacted by smoke and ash fall, air quality should be considered “unhealthy” (RAAN Level 4 or higher) even if the monitor reflects a lower reading.

Ways to stay informed:
  • Visit www.valleyair.org/wildfires for info about current and recently past wildfires affecting the Valley
  • Download the free “Valley Air” app on a mobile device and type in your address to see air quality levels in your area
  • Register at myRAAN.com to get email/text notification when air quality is poor for your saved locations
Library Hours
Our school library is open to check out books from 7am to 4pm daily.  We can also make arrangements for you to check out books during evening hours or the weekend. Just call the school office and we will work out a time to meet you here.  Books may be returned at any time in the school office mail drop, at the front of the school by the lower wing gate.

Used Uniforms - Get A Start!
Get a start on uniforms!   We have lots of pants and some skirts and jumpers for the girls. Give us a call to arrange a time to come look at what we have. If you have uniforms to donate back, please drop off at the school office.  Thank you!
Daily Masses and Sunday Masses can be viewed online while Masses are suspended.  Go to www.st-anthonys.org for links and for more information about attending Mass.

Thank you for being a part of the St. Anthony's Parish community. Our parish supports many ministries, including St. Vincent de Paul, and rely on your contributions.  During this time, Mass offerings can be done online or dropped off at the parish mail slot.
