Cornish Foodbanks

Cornish Foodbanks remain open and crucially need our support.  The foodbanks need supplies of all tinned, dried or long-life food items - with a typical food parcel including: Breakfast cereal, longlife milk, soup, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, tinned beans, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, tinned puddings, tea or coffee, sugar, biscuits and snacks. Many of the foodbanks also collect: Baby food, baby milk, disposable nappies, washing up liquid, Washing Powder, soap, Dry Dog Food, canned Dog Food and canned Cat Food.  Transformation Cornwall has pulled together an update with details of 18 of the Cornish Foodbanks all in one place.  This resource is updated weekly and can be found HERE

Grants Resource

We are starting to pull together a list of possible funding that might be suitable for some of our wonderful Cornish foodbanks, grass root initiatives and Faith based social action projects. This is our fifth attempt at a list and we will be developing this to include wider funding opportunities over the coming weeks. Emergency funding and grants with a Covid-19 emphasis are very quickly changing at the moment, so we would recommend that if you see a relevant emergency grant open, apply quickly. We have also begun to add in a number of other Christian and mainstream funders who might support your project in the longer term as well as individual awards for people in need which may be of relevance to people in your communities.

Index:
• Covid-19 Emergency Funds
• Individual Awards for People in Need
• Funders Sensitive to Faith Based Projects
• Other Non-Covid Grants Please contact funders directly with queries on their grant programmes
