This issue features Dennis Brescacin (President, Thunder Bay Professional Fire Fighters Association) as a FIREWELL Research Champion. Jennifer Keir's ground-breaking research on toxic exposures and decon methods was spotlighted on Chemistry World magazine.
We also share a new research opportunity for female identifying firefighters to participate in a study on imposter syndrome. Other research highlights by other scientists include: heat-related illnesses and exposures, skin exposure assessment, cardiovascular health, and occupational stress prevention and management.

What's New at FIREWELL NEW STUDY (York U): Imposter Syndrome in Female Firefighters Are you a female identifying firefighter who don't feel like you belong in the fire service? Do you have doubts about your ability as a firefighter?
York University researchers (Leads: Denise Roy and Marie-Hélène Budworth) are seeking female identifying firefighters in Canada to participate in an online survey on their experiences related to Imposter Syndrome and gender normative stereotypes.
The aim of the study is to determine the prevalence of Imposter Syndrome in female identifying firefighters in Canada and use the findings to develop ways to mitigate its negative effects.
