As announced at this summer's parent fora, Washington Latin is committed to a one-to-one (1:1) technology program in order to make sure ALL our students can participate fully in distance learning. READ MORE about this program
Latin currently owns 400 Chromebooks and has ordered an additional 350. Due to exceptionally high demand for these devices, we are not sure when our order will arrive and are hoping for September.
So far, 150 Chromebooks have already been distributed to students for 2020-21. The remaining 250 will go first to certain groups we are prioritizing - those eligible for Free/Reduced Meals, Special Education/504 Plan students, and 5th graders.
Please watch for an email from the Tech Office ab0ut whether your child will be receiving a device next week (Wave 1) or later (Wave 2). The Wave 1 devices will be ready during student materials pick up:
If your child is not in the Wave 1 distribution but needs a Latin Chromebook to start school, PLEASE let us know. We will do all we can to get a device to your child by reallocating our limited devices. Please email us!
If your child is in the Wave 1 distribution but does NOT need a Latin Chromebook to start school, we can reallocate that Chromebook to a child in need. Please email us!

New school year, new books, texts, and more! Please come to campus to retrieve student materials to start the year. You do not need an appointment, and we will have materials ready for each student. Volunteers (faculty and parents) will be on hand to bring the bag of goodies to you outside to a table near the library. No need to enter the building!
Please also look in your home for any Library books and textbooks you have to return to us, as we need to make them available to other members of the school community.
