As we approach the last 4 months of 2020 I wanted to pass along 3 tips that you can use to refresh your marketing.
1.Check your focus.
Are you still talking to your ideal customer? You can check in with this by looking at the number of enquiries you are receiving, are they coming from the people you hope to reach? Are your posts on social media generating useful and interesting discussion for your business? Are you hearing from clients on your posts?
At this point it is worth thinking about what your main objectives are for your marketing, remind yourself of whether you want to boost brand awareness or generate leads, or a combination of both.
2.Give your core marketing channels a refresh.
Is your website looking neat and clean and up to date? Have you added a blog post this month? Is your lead magnet (if you have one) relevant for the coming months, would something else drive more traffic? Are you regularly using your email lists to say hi to your customers? Are you asking people to sign up to your email lists? Use this last week of the month to get everything looking great for the last quarter.
3. Plan your Autumn PR.
Do you have PR opportunities lined up for Autumn? If you haven't then some quick ideas are to look at anyone who is relevant to you who accepts guest blog posts, or anyone who goes live on social media that you could join to reach more customers, or maybe approaching a few podcast hosts that may be looking for guests for the coming months.
There is a lot you can do to get your marketing on track for the last quarter. A bit of time spent now on planning, refreshing your view on who your ideal customer is, and cleaning and tidying up your social media (checking profiles are up to date, planning content, closing anything you no longer use) will really help you in these busy final months of the year.
