Dear ILP faithful, donors and volunteers,

What a year 2020 has turned out to be!

COVID-19 forced us to change our plans for 2020 in unforeseen ways. The Relay and the Race for Literacy were cancelled. And so were our youth sponsored events.

At the outset of the lockdowns in India, ILP pivoted to lending a supportive hand to trapped migrant families in India through its NGO networks across 7 states with essential supplies. Team ILP also switched gears to work on enabling teachers to go online to continue their efforts to keep disseminating knowledge to the children we serve.

COVID-19 will be vanquished in the near future. And when that happens, ILP and the NGOs it supports must be able to hit the road running to catch up the children to all that they have missed. To that effect, Team ILP pledges to not let up on our efforts to organize and fundraise so we can all continue to contribute to shaping the future citizens of this world.

In the 2nd Beacon of 2020 we have captured for you a snapshot of our Covid relief work. On the metrics thread, we take a microscope to learning levels assessment. And finally we round off with how ILP shapes the young population of India with its Career guidance efforts.
