Emergency Help with Housing Costs

If you live in Hennepin County and have lost income due to COVID-19, help may be available to cover current and past due housing costs such as rent, mortgage payments and utilities. Hennepin County is offering emergency housing help for households with specific criteria. Learn more about eligibility guidelines and start your application here.

State Housing Assistance
Minnesota Housing is now accepting applications for the COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program. This state program provides housing assistance payments to help prevent eviction, or homelessness, and maintain housing stability for eligible renters and homeowners, covering expenses such as rent, mortgage, utilities or other housing-related expenses incurred after March 1, 2020 that are past due.

To start the application process for Minnesota housing assistance, call 651-291-0211, visit 211unitedway.org, or text “MNRENT” or “MNHOME” to 898-211. The helpline has dedicated multilingual staff available to answer questions.

Pickleball Anyone?

Outdoor Court Times

Meet up with other pickleball players when the weather is nice. Central Park Pickleball Courts #1-3 are dedicated for senior players Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 11:30 am, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 pm until dusk. Get directions to Central Park Pickleball courts here.
