I can't believe it's been 2 months since my last newsletter. I hope you are all well.
Are you finding that life is getting back to some normality?
I am starting to have much more to do with our youngest members the two babies, one born in October 2019 and the second one born Feb 2020.
Keeping up with handwashing and sanitising practices and wearing face masks in shops, has become the new normal, and don't you find yourself bleaching everywhere. I even clean the door handles and letterbox for the postman!
Last weekend for my birthday we went out for a meal to a local restaurant, where my son is Head Chef, the first meal out in 5 months. We used to eat out at least once a week.
I have some exciting information to furnish you with about my forthcoming books.
Future Projects
I have six projects on the go. Two are almost ready, when I say almost ready I mean they are being edited.
Project 1 - a book about Mr.Mouse and his friends.
This book started life as a series of poems, written over 3 years.
Mr.Mouse loves his garden and has won awards for his roses.
Over the course of twelve seasons he meets a Frog and Bee and they become best friends, together they have many adventures and even survive a pandemic.
Each chapter will have a full colour illustration depicting the scene from the chapter.
as the story originated from poems, some rhyming sentences have been retained.
The book is aimed at children 6 years and over.
I hope to be able to share some illustrations and extracts with you soon.
Project 2 - a collection of poems about observation.
I love people and nature watching. You will be surprised what i find to write about from people in a coffee shop to a park bench dedicated to a young PT that died at the age of 33.
I am putting this together and it will be published via amazon.
Once it is available I will share a link with you.

I have read Bernadine Evaristo - Girl, Woman, Other
An excellent book, it takes a while to get into the languauge but oonce you do you can't put the book down.. I bought it for my sister-in-law and gave it to my mother too.
It will make you laugh, it will make you cry. It covers domestic abuse, being a lesbian, being asexual. It covers every part of being a woman.
Treat yourself and buy thus book then pass it.on to your best friend, daughter, mother, if you can bear to part with it.
Derek Owusu - That Reminds Me
This is a tough book to read. Again it takes a while to pick up the language but this is another book you won't be able to put down.
Sent into care before being returned to his family.
The book examines through K's memory growing up as a black man, family, tradition, sexuality, self harming.
