Cessnock City Council wants to hear from local businesses, residents and visitors to assist them in preparing the next draft Economic Development Strategy.

It’s a critical Strategy aimed at ensuring the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA) has a sustainable and prosperous economy into the future.

The Strategy will help to promote growth and investment, provide a diverse range of employment opportunities, diversify the economic base of the LGA and enhance and strengthen the overall amenity, resilience and liveability of our community.  Read more here...

Cessnock businesses are invited to get involved with a project that is designed to build capability and identify opportunities for growth within the agriculture sector.

Cessnock City Council has engaged specialist agricultural and food advisory firm Rounding Up to deliver the Hunter Valley Agribusiness Cluster Action Plan.  Read more...

NSW Get Healthy at Work has partnered with Love to Ride to launch the local Biketober Business Challenge 2020.

Cessnock Holden 

Cessnock Holden is going back to its early roots as a service garage in its new location at 50 Cumberland Street. General Motors announced early this year that it would be retiring the Holden brand in Australia, and the Cessnock City Holden dealership site on Maitland Road was sold. 
The Holden dealership was purchased by Jorge Lamas, the dealer principal, and Adam Cluff, the fixed operations manager.
