New "Live Sessions" for when some students are in-person and some are remote
The pandemic remains a great hardship that places heavy demands on technology for schools. Many of us are faced with teaching classes where some students are in the classroom with us and some are attending remotely from home. To help meet this challenge, test out the new "Live Sessions" at Innovation Assessments.
Live sessions are currently being developed for the multiple-choice, short answer, and presentations.
The unique presentation live session app is of particular interest: allow your students to periodically reply to questions you pose while presenting a Google Slide Show. This app also supports embedded video, so you could show a video and stop periodically to prompt students for interaction.

The live sessions all allow the teacher to retain a transcript of participation for situations where attendance must be recorded or for grading participation.
Watch for new Live Session apps this autumn for matching and a Jeopardy-like multi-player trivia game.
