"Developing a passion for Christ by equipping disciples & reaching the lost."
In just a few weeks, on Sunday September 27th, Redeemer Church will celebrate the anniversary of our formation as an official Church for the past 19 years in the Presbyterian Church in America. We remember this date because of the beauty and sustaining power of love that Christ has for His bride, the Church. Andrew Peterson is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who wrote these words regarding anniversaries and the marriage relationship, "We went sailing in the storms/ and it was harder than we dreamed/ But I believe that's what the promise is for..." This past year has felt like seemingly one storm after another, but in the midst of it all Jesus remains faithful to his bride, the Church. Surely, when Pastor Craig and his family moved to Valrico so many years ago to help plant Redeemer they were all-in but weren't fully aware of exactly how hard it would be to plant for almost 20 years in Hillsborough County. There are alot of statistics on the survival of church plants past 5-10 years that reflect the amazing faithfulness of our God to work here at Redeemer Church in the way that he has. We will hear testimonies from individuals who have been here from the beginning. We will praise the Lord for his goodness with singing. We will also host outdoor, socially-distant games and a "bring your own" picnic dinner on the grounds to pause in the midst of our normal schedule and remember what God has done in our midst. Join us Sunday September 27th at 5:00PM for a family kickball game and 6:00PM for dinner. God's promise for His people is the same yesterday, today, and on into the future of Redeemer Church. See you there!
