USask's Open House is set to take place tomorrow, Thursday, September 24 from 3-7 pm (Saskatchewan time).

Students and their supporters are invited to explore USask's academic programs and student experiences through:

• Live-streamed demonstrations and presentations starting every half hour during the event
• One-on-one chats with representatives from programs and services across USask in our virtual information fair
• Digital materials and videos you can check out during the event or save for later

Registration is open until three hours before the event, or 12 pm (noon) Saskatchewan time.

In fall 2021, the College of Engineering at USask will offer the most effective first-year engineering program in Canada. Dubbed RE-ENGINEERED, the program will help future engineers develop a more robust and diverse skillset than ever before.

Program features

RE-ENGINEERED classes will vary in length and intensity, with material sequenced so when students learn knowledge in one course, they can immediately apply it in another.

Shorter courses in RE-ENGINEERED mean a broader range of material will be covered, making students more employable after their first year.

There are no final exam periods in RE-ENGINEERED. Students will be tested throughout their courses using a competency-based approach to assessment. Students will have multiple opportunities to show competency in key material, and later attempts will count more than early ones.

Earlier this month, USask launched a virtual opening celebration for the USask Prince Albert Campus, featuring special video messages from USask leaders, government officials, community leaders, supporters and friends.
