Alumna Jeanette Epps Tapped for
Boeing Starliner Spaceflight

NASA astronaut and alumna Jeanette J. Epps (M.S. '94, Ph.D. '00) has been assigned to the Boeing Starliner-1 mission, the first operational crewed flight of the Boeing CST-100 Starliner spacecraft.

Epps will join NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Josh Cassada for a six-month expedition to the International Space Station (ISS), with the launch planned for 2021. READ MORE.

Rankings released in U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Colleges report have placed the Department of Aerospace Engineering in the top tiers of undergraduate education while the Clark School of Engineering moved up three spots, to number 22 from 25 nationally, among undergraduate engineering programs; ranking number 12 among public institutions.

Team ASTRO, "Robotic Habitat Technologies for Minimizing Crew Maintenance Requirements,” took first place in the "Autonomous Utilization and Maintenance for Gateway and/or Mars-class Transportation” theme at this year's NASA 2020 RASC-AL competition.
