Anywhere with Jesus

by Doug Bing, Washington Conference president

Jesus is coming again.

We all may be tired of waiting. We may be tired of all the dark and dreary things that are going on in our world and wonder why Jesus is taking us through those things.

Yet now is the time to keep growing in Jesus. Keep growing spiritually and keep going anywhere Jesus leads you. Know that both in this world and in the earth made new, we will be able to sing those words from the last stanza of a well known and beloved hymn: Anywhere with Jesus will be home sweet home.

Save this as a reference in case you need to evacuate....whether you are in a fire zone now or whether you are updating your personal/family disaster preparedness plan.

September is Disaster Preparedness month. We've sure been through a year of unfolding crises one after another. We've learned a lot along the way and there is still more to learn and prepare for whether with pandemics or natural disasters as we care for those we love.

Continue to pray for the peace, grace, protection and assurance of Jesus. He will provide! The journey may not be easy, but we can know Jesus is right there with us caring for us and carrying us through. Courage!
The Time to Get Ready is Now

Need food? Need Covid-19 testing?

Show up at Auburn City Church's parking lot each Tuesday morning.
Auburn City Church’s parking lot is one of the designated COVID-19 test sites for King County. Cars typically start lining up at 6:30 a.m., testing starts at 7 a.m., capacity is often reached by 10 a.m., and testing concludes around 1 p.m. Some people end up waiting three or four hours. The tests are free for those without insurance.

And then there's the food distribution line....that almost didn't begin!

"Which churches are reopened?"

Washington Conference has TWO answers for you!

1) Browse a list of churches to see who has indoor, outdoor, or virtual worship services.

2) Check weekly plans with your local or neighboring churches. Service plans are typically shared on the church's website, Facebook, or e-newsletter by Thursday or Friday each week.
