Dear Friends,

Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
   teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
   for you are the God of my salvation;
   for you I wait all day long.
Psalm 25.4-5

I was struck by these well known and comforting words as we read them in our staff prayers this morning. The reminder to trust God and his goodness, knowing him to be faithful and so expecting his leading, are not far removed from the same trust expressed two psalms previous. As we read the rest of this psalm, the writer has immediate issues and dangers in mind. What an encouragement to us to not just trust that in the long run everything will be sorted out and we will know rest with our Good Shepherd, but that even as we muddle through difficulties and testing now, we can share our specific concerns and cares and rely on his compassion and help.

I hope you are heartened by the arrival of more sunshine, even as many of us are disappointed by the continuation of restrictions on our movement and activity. We were very pleased to be joined by a good number of you for our consultation time on Sunday last (for 10am service members) and Tuesday evening (for our Mandarin service members). We very much appreciate your insights and feedback, so if you were not able to join us, or have thought of something to mention since, do just get in touch.

As we continue in prayer for you, please do pray for us as we plan for the remainder of the year and 2021.

Grace and peace,

Heather.
