No Quit September!

One of the many things I love about Central is the people who do not quit. We face down difficulties. We pray through pain. We encourage each other through thick and thin. And we keep going one step at a time. Something about seeing the faces of family members gives us joy and a deeper sense of perseverance. We can do hard things together. Many people are offering you many ways to be together over the coming weeks. Please take the time to look over these opportunities and click to sign up -- for services or small groups. You don't have to sign up for outdoor worship--just come and sing! And start walking or running now and join us for the Freedom 5k Walk/Run at the end of September. I always walk a little farther when I'm with friends.

Call us if you have questions. We can get you signed up as well.

May grace and peace POUR over you!

Pastor Joanna

Small groups at Central are called LIFT Together groups...
LIFTers love God and others, are involved, faithful, and teachable. At this time they are limited to 10 people. Check out these in person and online options! More about LIFT Together Groups

You can read the descriptions of each group below, and click on the corresponding button to join the group.

Esther Bible Study - Pam Russell will lead Thursdays at 9:00am starting September 10, open to women, meeting in person in the Upper Level of the 820 Building
Queen Esther was a vulnerable woman who had to make some difficult decisions during a frightening, uncertain time. We can learn much from her story. The book is a beautiful description of God's planning and care for His people. This group will include a lesson, worksheets and discussion. We will also share prayer requests and praises.

Biblical Peacemaking - Britany Miller will lead Mondays at 6:30pm starting September 14, open to men and women, meeting in person in the Upper Level of the 820 Building
Think of a time when you were in a conflict with another person... you probably don't have to think too hard to come up with an example! These days it seems like tempers flare quickly, everyone shares their opinions easily, and conflicts happen often. Conflict is unavoidable, but it does not have to be negative. Small or large, conflict can become an opportunity to honor God, serve others, and grow to be like Jesus. Learn to respond to conflict in God's way through practical skills such as repentance, confession, and forgiveness.

The Gathering//Mkutano
Sundays, September 13 and 27 at 6:00pm
Gather with the Central church family in the parking lot behind the 820 Building.

If you have a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, bring it. We will also provide chairs. Plan to sit at least 6 feet from other families and follow physical distancing guidelines. There is something special about gathering together even if it looks different than it has before. And a bonus of being outside... we get to sing!
