Seward makes the cut.
BarBend, a strength training and nutrition website, ranked Seward No. 12 on a list of Nebraska's fittest cities on Thursday. The rankings took multiple factors into consideration, including: rates of obesity, smoking, physical inactivity, poor physical health days and access to healthy foods.

Concordia enrollment up.

Concordia University announced the arrival of 375 new undergraduate students as of Aug. 26, leading to a full-time undergraduate enrollment of 1,192 on the Seward campus.

The 375 new students enrolling at Concordia for the 2020-21 academic year is an increase of 36 students from the previous year.

Football Friday

Another full slate is planned for Seward County high school teams this evening. Seward plays at Crete, Malcolm hosts Falls City, Milford travels to Fillmore Central and Centennial goes on the road to play Grand Island Central Catholic.
