PTA Meeting: September 24th 6pm - 7:30pm Please join us at this year's first Emerson Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting to learn how to be more involved with your child's distance-learning education. We will talk about volunteer opportunities, our annual budget, fundraising, and community building events!
All families are encouraged to join this meeting regardless of PTA membership.
Membership dues are $5 and must be renewed each school year.

Coming in October - Emerson Enrichment Fund - Giving Campaign. Without events and fundraisers to support our school, we will launch a Month of Giving to help support our Enrichment Fund.
This money allows us to retain our essential staff, better support our teachers in the virtual classroom, provide needed supplies + materials for impactful at-home learning, and maintain continuity for for our return to campus!

Art therapy has been shown to help kids process trauma, and this has been our experience at Emerson Elementary.
Please help the PTA support the continuation of our amazing Art Therapist as a valuable member of our support team at Emerson.
If your family is in a position to support Emerson families in need, please consider making a donation below. Currently we are prioritizing support to families that are homeless, are newcomers (and not eligible for unemployment, or stimulus checks), and/or families that have been negatively impacted by the pandemic.

We are so fortunate to maintain our Library program during distance learning. Our amazing Librarian has been visiting your student's class online!
Emerson's Beloved Coach Jason + Ms. Verna have been hosting weekly PE with our students, getting them up, moving + having fun with group games! Our shining star Coach Andre has been hosting recess for students to join during morning break.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Please remind your students that everyone & everyday counts! Just 2 absences a month leads to chronic absenteeism which can have long term effects on your students’ learning.
The Play Yard and Soft Ball Field at Emerson Elementary is Under Construction
We've received word that the Softball Field Project is progressing on schedule and should be complete by the end of fall!
Please remember, the Emerson schoolyard is an active construction site and off-limits. Refrain from entering all Emerson Outdoor Spaces during school closure and the Large Play Yard for the duration of construction.
