Framed to 24 x 30 inches.  $750

Hello lovely friends!

It's  wild ride, isn't it?

Recently, I find myself struggling with something and then hear myself say out loud, 'Why is this so hard?'  'How can I make this easier?'

The truth is, I don't know, so I've been tucking myself in and riding it out.  And since everything feels so upside down anyway, I've been going to the easel and experimenting big.  The piece above is one of those that had no plan, just pigment on the big paper.

I went with the flow.  I let it tell me what it wanted to be - and I decided not to judge it.  I'm quite in love with the wide sky, that coursing waterway on the right and the mystery earth on the left.

Water. Earth. Sky.   My favorite things.  The essence of what I love about Indiana.  Maybe that's why I love this one so much.  The simplicity and satisfaction of essence.

I've been working with essence in other ways as well and was surprised that poetry turned out to the be vehicle for some of that work.   It's good to play with new mediums, see what they can offer - see how the essence of the medium merges with the essence of the other ideas in the piece.

What is the essence you've been seeking or finding lately?   Hit reply and let me know.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon and in the meantime I'm sending you a big virtual hug!  Enjoy the essence of this moment.

-Robin

p.s.  Don't forget that the Hoosier Salon and the Watercolor Society of Indiana juried shows are both hanging in Indianapolis right now. Details below. I hope you can stop by and see them!
