Dear <<First Name>>
At the time ICEC 28 was due to take place (we would have been in Hangzhou this week but for its two-year postponement) we are delighted to confirm this year’s British Cryogenic Cluster gathering on the rescheduled date of Thursday September 10 – i.e. next week !
Instead of our meeting as planned in the Higgs Building on Blackford Hill in Edinburgh, the site of the old Royal Observatory and home of STFC’s UK Astronomy Technology Centre, we have been rescued by the Institute of Refrigeration (a long-time Sponsor of the BCC.) They are kindly hosting this year’s cut-down Cluster Day on a virtual platform with speakers illustrating the brilliant work in the “Scottish Cryogenic Cluster” at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities.
Quan Li will open the talks for Edinburgh, Min Zhang will speak about Cryogenic Power Applications from Strathclyde, and Professor Robert Hadfield will take care of Cryogenics in Quantum Applications (Glasgow being the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Imaging, and Quantum being a Big subject in the UK this week.) Register here for this 10th Cryogenic Cluster Day, starting at 10.15am on Thursday September 10.
It would be Pure Dead Brilliant as they say in Glasgow if you can join us and tune in !
Brought to you by the B Cryo Team
