Note from the Chairwoman....

Greetings and Happy Labor Day! With a president who is set on dismantling protections for hard-working Americans, we can be particularly thankful for Labor Unions and workers' rights today and all days.

Oklahoma County Democrats are ORGANIZING! Our House Districts are meeting to mobilize workers in precincts all across this county. All of our Democratic candidates need your help. Precinct leaders are vital in organizing volunteers, registering voters, and helping to Get Out The Vote! Keep an eye out for an email, text or call from House District officers!

Thank you to all who participated in our two planning sessions in August where we focused on 2021 Precinct Organizational Meetings and County Convention. The recordings and notes from those meetings are on our website. Cick on EVENTS>MEETINGS AND MINUTES then scroll down to PAST MEETINGS. We are forming working teams now. Please reach out to any of the officers if you have questions or wish to get involved! We need everyone to help grow this party into 2021 and beyond.

In these precious days before the Oct. 9 Voter Registration Deadline, we can expand our voter base! If you need voter registration forms, let us know! We can help with this.

Don't forget to sign up for Absentee Voting! It is free for every Oklahoma voter. You can vote safe at home.

Mark your calendar for our first "Open Air Open Houses" which will take place during the afternoon on Sunday, Sept. 13 at locations all across Oklahoma County. Meet candidates, get campaign materials, and register to vote! Details are coming!

I hope you are all staying safe by wearing masks and social distancing in the continuing Covid-19 crisis. We know that better days are coming when we can once again gather safely. In the meantime, we can continue the vital work of electing Democrats!

Remember to donate where you are able. Every dollar counts!

Please, join me in offering hearty congratulations to our own Taz Al-Michael for his recent election as Vice President of College Dems of America. We are so proud of you, Taz!
