Hi there,

This week I'm moving over and letting my readers and social media followers have the microphone. I asked people with experience living with heart disease to share their best advice about how they adapted their eating habits. Not so much "what" to eat but how they did it.

This week in my kitchen

I had a hankering for granola, and as often is the case with these things, I wanted it NOW, not in an hour. So I made it on the stovetop, not in the oven. You can't make as much, but you can just as easily toast those nuts and oats this way, in just about ten minutes.



This particular combination is in my 30-Minute Heart Healthy Cookbook, but you can really do it with any granola recipe (you may just have to scale it down).
