QUICKENING
Quickening means to make alive, give life, or revive. We must realize that it is only the Spirit of God that brings life and causes the believer to become spiritually alive.
Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law. -Psalm 119:49-51
During these troublesome times, it is only through the Word of God, that we as believers can receive hope and comfort. His Word quickens our spirit, renews our faith and hope. The dire circumstances that we face today during this pandemic can only be survived through the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
-I Corinthians 15:44-45
Therefore, through Jesus Christ we are quickened to the newness of life by the Holy Spirit.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. -Romans 8:10-11
He lives! He lives! He lives! And thank God, because Jesus lives, the believer lives!!!!
REDEMPTION
Redemption means to recover ownership by paying a special sum, to set free, rescue, to save from sinfulness (AHD). It is our Salvation! We have to acknowledge that we could not pay the liberation price needed to return us back to fellowship with God.
Who [The Father] hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. -Colossians 1:12-13
It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we have been redeemed!
It is because of this death that he is mediator of a new covenant [or will].[a] Because a death has occurred which sets people free from the transgressions committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promised eternal inheritance. -Hebrews 9:15 (CJB)
We thank God for sending Jesus Christ, our mediator, who died on the cross for our sins. Now that the price has been paid for our redemption, we can come boldly to the throne of grace! WE thank God for the exchange that has been made. Jesus took away our sins and has given us the righteousness of God.
But when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come [that is, true spiritual worship], He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this [material] creation. He went once for all into the Holy Place [the Holy of Holies of heaven, into the presence of God], and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, having obtained and secured eternal redemption [that is, the salvation of all who personally believe in Him as Savior]. -Hebrews 9:11-12 (AMP)
Thank God for The Blood!
