The Cenotaph. Marking 100 Years of Remembrance
Every year the UK remembers those who have died in conflict on 11 November, the day the First World War ended. 2020 marks a century since the unveiling ceremony of the Cenotaph, which has been the focus of remembrance ever since.
Many items in our collections are accessible for commercial projects via IWM Collections and IWM Film, our dedicated film website.
View our highlights below and contact us for licensing enquiries. It is recommended you use the filter on our website to select digitised media for time-sensitive orders as we cannot guarantee deadlines for new digitisation requests.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of The Operations Room by British artist Eric Ravilious. Employed as an official war artist from 1940, Ravilious created delicate yet striking watercolours and drawings of ships, aircraft and coastal defences, many of which are IWM copyright and in our collections. |
