Plaistow South Big Local Community E-News
For the first time, masses of glorious sunflowers have been gracing the streets and front gardens of residents, symbolising resilience and hope in this time of COVID anxiety. They are growing in the Tunmarsh Lane tree pits, outside the Fire Station, along Kingsland Rd and in neighbouring gardens.  Do pass along if you can whilst they are still in bloom - some of them are over 8 feet tall!

As always, please stay safe and follow the Government's guidelines regarding the face covering in shops and public transport.'
Download test and trace app and help stop virus
Newham residents are at the heart of a pilot study into a new national Test and Trace mobile phone app, which aims to defeat Covid-19. Residents will be receiving unique quick response (QR) codes by email and post to download the app. By downloading it you can help protect your family, friends, your community as well as yourself. The quicker we stop the spread of the virus, the sooner we can return to a more normal life. Container delivered!  A solution to a Greenway Orchard Green Gym problem
The Green Gym conservation volunteers are absolutely delighted, as well as relieved, that a secure container has been delivered to the Greenway Orchard.  This is a much-loved Container that means tools can be held on site as well as chairs and tables and other equipment. It solves a problem of vandalism that has threatened the project.  The Green Gym has re-opened since Covid-19 with some updated procedures, and it is open every Thursday 11-2. To read more click here
