How are you? Long time no see.

Hope the kids are enjoying being back at school and things are getting back to some sort of routine.

We wanted to kick start this new school year by inviting you to our PTA Annual General Meeting. Use this once a year opportunity to meet other parents and hear about the initiatives and events to raise money for school projects - which benefit all our children.

Please also take a few mins to read about the various volunteer roles up for grabs below. Wickham Common Primary School PTA is a registered charity. On top of helping raise money for worthwhile school projects, it's a great addition on your CV.

Class Reps needed for this year

Whose class is missing a class rep this year?

Every year parents from each class volunteer to be Class Reps. Feel free to buddy up with a friend so that 2 of you cover the same class.

In terms of responsibility, it is relatively low...re-posting the odd reminder (many of which come directly from us the PTA), and organising and buying the teacher gifts (Christmas and Summer).

VISTA Magazine Media Sales - Voluntary Role

Do you enjoy meeting and chatting with people? If so, you’d be great at selling advertising space for our fantastic school magazine VISTA, which raises almost £10k each year!

Most of the advertisers are small local businesses who have been supporting us for years. VISTA is over 15 years old!

More details on the role

This voluntary role would ideally suit someone who works part-time or is at home with young children. It’s approx. 4-6 hours work each term. VISTA is published 3 times a year.

Second-hand school uniform - volunteer needed

Do you have a couple of spare hours once every so often to sell second-hand uniform?

It involves looking after the second-hand uniform stalls at the Summer and Christmas Fairs and other events, when possible. Perks are that you get 1st choice of the donated uniform for your children and for free!
